About me
Arnie Ayala and his family emigrated to the United States in 1976 from Michoacán, Mexico. He discovered his “why” at the early age of six, inspired by the lasting impact of his kindergarten and first-grade teacher, Mrs. Murphy.
Arnie is a recognized leader in promoting family and community engagement and advancing equitable practices in education. He has presented at national and state conferences, including CALSA, CAAASA, NABE, and CABE, and has served as a featured speaker at the National Family Leadership Institute, the OMSD Annual Parent Leadership Conference, and the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Family & Community Engagement Parent Summit.
In addition to his presentations, Arnie has been invited to share his insights on several educational podcasts, including The Second Question, A Tribe Called Dad, Ed Branding, and Beyond the Blackboard. Most recently, he was selected as the lead facilitator and presenter for the OMSD Equity Module, My Name. My Identity, where he continues to champion inclusive practices that honor student voice and identity.
