About me
Cristina Urbano is an educational leader with deep commitment to advancing culturally and linguistically responsive education. She has served as a Spanish bilingual elementary teacher, an English Language Development Curriculum Specialist, an Instructional Coach for language and literacy, Principal of a PreK–5 Dual Language School, and Program Administrator for Bilingual/Dual Language and World Language programs across more than eight languages. She holds a Masters of Arts in International Comparative Education. Currently, she is a Senior Program Director of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Pedagogy, supporting systems and leaders to design equitable, affirming learning environments for multilingual students at the Alameda County Office of Education.
