About me
Julio Castro is the Director of Family and Community Engagement for the Alisal Union School District in Salinas, California. In this role, he leads the implementation of the district-wide Community Schools strategy and oversees critical support initiatives, including the Family Resource Centers and McKinney-Vento program supports. A Salinas native and former AUSD student, Julio holds a B.A. from CSU Monterey Bay and an M.P.A. from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Prior to this role, he spent over a decade working in higher education support programs at CSUMB and actively volunteers with local education-focused non-profits.
