Dr. Marco A. Villegas is an award-winning educational leader with more than three decades of experience transforming schools and guiding systems toward lasting improvement. A former superintendent, associate superintendent, and long-serving principal, he has successfully led school turnarounds in diverse communities by developing leadership capacity, strengthening instructional systems, and restoring trust through collaboration and clear strategic direction.He is the co-founder of the Education Leadership Alliance and has served as an adjunct professor at California State University, Los Angeles and Azusa Pacific University, where he has helped prepare the next generation of educational leaders. Known for his passion for mentoring and empowering teams, Dr. Villegas has helped districts achieve fiscal stability, modernize operations, and create environments where students and educators thrive.Today, he is the Interim Superintendent in the Adelanto School District where he is supporting leadership teams in designing responsive, mission-driven schools prepared for the demands of a rapidly changing educational landscape.
