Ms. Norma E. Martinez has served the Centralia Elementary School District since 2010 and has been honored to lead as Superintendent since 2015. She oversees an award-winning district serving Anaheim, Buena Park, and La Palma, with schools recognized as National Blue Ribbon, California Distinguished, California Green Ribbon, and PBIS Platinum recipients.An educator for over 30 years, Ms. Martinez is a transformative, service-oriented leader whose philosophy centers on cultivating relationships, communicating a clear vision, creating opportunities, and celebrating success. She is deeply committed to supporting the whole child, addressing opportunity gaps, and preparing students to be future-ready learners, while strengthening meaningful school-community partnerships through initiatives such as the Centralia Collaborative, Neighborhood Resource Center, and Centralia Boutique.In recognition of her leadership, Ms. Martinez was named the 2026 CALSA Superintendent of the Year and 2026 ACSA Superintendent of the Year, and received the 2024 Northgate Gonzalez “Juntos” Award. She also serves her community through active involvement on several nonprofit boards.
