Dr. Ruben L. Fernandez currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services at Vallejo City Unified School District. He earned a BA in Political Science from UC Riverside, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at USC. Ruben has previously led significant initiatives in the Benicia and Walnut Creek School Districts, including two major school bond initiatives, enhancing school facilities with over $100 million in improvements. His expertise spans managing financial services, leading negotiation and safety committees, and fostering culturally responsive instructional practices.
